It's been a fun week QCI-ders, but the real fun ends with Separation Saturday. We have some schedule changes happening that were late breaking at the HQ. We'll explain here in a sec.

Anyways were getting a little excited to bring the madness to you. We hope you dig what we have instore for the next 36 hours or so. "Is it Epic G$?" Oh... you guys are picking up on the lingo! #goodjoboutofyou... NOICE!

GAMEDAY POST III - POSTPONED - Yeah yeah... we know... just like when you're anxiously waiting to get the new hip cell phone... waiting for an upcoming album but the front man goes into rehab... or waiting for that one buddy before you hit the bars because he takes more time getting ready than most women... there's a little delay. Why you ask? Well... our writing team here at QCI HQ had a switch in direction early evening at our regular meeting. The thought was... we have some good stuff for the weekend... it will be live... why try to blow the whole thing at once? Plus... the team got working on other stuff immediately after our live stuff took shape... we'll explain in a bit. But anyway... delay it is.. don't worry... It will be worth the wait.

Oh yeah... per request from loyal QCI-ders... we busted out the ole LIVE banner for tomorrow. So, get this... QCI will be there to have you covered on everything... I mean stuff you didn't even want to know... yups. We're that awesome. So... to help you out... we wanted to map a few things out for you for tomorrow... this will enhance your Fantasy Football for Dorks experience.

QCI'S CHEESE BALL QUESTION BUCKET - "What the hell are you talking about G$?" Our writers came up with this yesterday. While the other blogs will get our inner Joker going by saying, "Why so serious?" We of course want to have a little fun... but give peeps a good take on what's happening... so we came up with "QCI'S CHEESE BALL QUESTION BUCKET". Basically... its a bucket with tons of questions that we might have asked during our 7.2 Question Interview days... harmless, fun and inightful questions.

"How does this work?" Glad you asked. Basically... our writers have came up with hundreds of questions. Candidates, electeds and everyone in between can draw 3... pick the one they want to answer... then... well...answer the question, and we post. Pretty simple.

"What are the questions?" Random... random but safe (no worries there)... subjects? Wide spread... from pop, to issues, to the Hawks/Clones... to what are you listening to... stuff we cover here... Basicallly if you are a human... you'll be fine.

What more could the World's Crappiest Blog ask for, right? Anyways... we's gearing up for some live stuff coming straight from the Eastside... so be ready...

It’s back… the Smack Down! Since the beginning of blogs in Iowa… Many long time readers have likened their posts and comments to takes similar to the Jim Rome Show. (I know, weird phenom) So here at QCI… we don’t question tradition… we just roll with it. For you new readers… check yesterday’s post, this link from last year and a little tutorial if you still don’t get it…

RULES: There are 3…

2) Don’t have diarrhea of the blog. You know what I am talking about

3) Have fun… (Junior High humor encouraged… and usually rewarded)

QCI-ders... Happy Election Day to you. Whoah... We get a little nervous about election days... considering we had a car stolen from QCI HQ a year ago... good times... no, not really.

HUHUHU HUGE WEEK QUICK HITS - Election Day Edition - In Iowa... Chris Reed announced he is running for Congress in the 2nd... We gots a couple heated Mayor races in Waukee and Cedar Rapids... oh and the Council races are burning in the City of 5 Smells as well... Oh and get this... the Youth Vote in civic elections... doesn't exist... Did you know Pope Benny is Catholic? Out East... A bunch of QCI-ders are working in VA/NJ... hearing good stuff out of there... stay thristy on those.

Hmm the real question before us right now before is the race for chairman. Two requirements no crazies (that means no tin foil hats and talk about Obama's birth certifcate) and people who can reach across the entire state. To the central commitee in regards to the crazies in the party, take the advice I gave a buddy about a crazy girlfirend "Son, you need to lock that shit down pronto." War the Barnstormers. I wanted to make a suggestion for the Iowa Republican Party, I am willing to offer the state party, the use of the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald as the new theme song for the party, royalty free. The professional errrr perpetual errrr gubernatorial candidate BVP makes a great sacrificial lamb but in no way is a serious contender to beat Culver and if you think so that is the definition of insanity. Its like watching the Chiefs.... or any of those ass clowns in that haphazard excuse for a division. You might be interested to see how good they can do but realize if you even make mention of them winning the Super Bowl you are going to get laughed at (and not be taken seriously). Why can’t anyone get this guy to run for state house/senate/any other local office because I would like to see him do something constructive other than campaign.

The Chairman would be the best place to start the re-tooling of the 72 hour... errrr 72 day... errrr 7.2 month program. Couple that with a great gubernatorial candidate who is well funded and poses a serious threat to Governor Dauber and the Repubs are back in business. There is no better place to look than those responsible for making tailgating in the spring/summer possible again GO STORMERS!!!

And as for this presidential crap... we are in Iowa so I guess the perpetual campaign marches onward (and I'm not talkin BVP this time) look for sleeper My man Mitch and DOOOOOO NOOOOOOT FOOOOORGEEEEET NEWTEEEEE! Rack ME G I'm OOOOOUUUUUUUUTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!

Governor Branstad 2010 Committee Names Tim Albrecht as Director of Communications

(URBANDALE, Iowa) – The Governor Branstad 2010 Committee today named Iowa Republican strategist Tim Albrecht as its Communications Director. Albrecht will handle media relations, new media and the online efforts of the campaign. He officially begins today.

“We are excited to have Tim join this campaign,” said Branstad committee leader Jeff Boeyink. “His extraordinary experience in both traditional and new media will be beneficial as we move forward in our efforts. His addition shows growing momentum as Governor Branstad explores a possible gubernatorial bid.”

Albrecht previously served on the campaigns of presidential candidate Steve Forbes and gubernatorial candidate Steve Sukup. He served four years as Communications Director for House Speaker Christopher Rants, R-Sioux City. He then served as the Iowa Press Secretary for Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, and currently is Communications Director for the American Future Fund – a nationwide conservative grassroots advocacy group based in Iowa.

“Governor Branstad is tested, proven and ready to lead this state in a positive direction,” said Albrecht. “Iowans in every corner of the state are concerned about mounting job and economic losses, as well as the bleak outlook of this state’s finances. It is time for us to have a strong leader in the governor’s office who will focus on moving Iowa forward.”

Albrecht served clients through his full-service communications firm, Albrecht Public Relations, and ran the popular conservative-leaning news aggregator http://www.TheBeanWalker.com, which Albrecht says will continue under a new publisher to maintain the integrity and independence of the site throughout the primary and general elections.
